Letter from Faith & Hope Editor
Dear Readers,
Readers have been passing this little magazine to friends, who, in turn, pass it to others. And that’s just as it should be.
All around us people we know are opening their hearts to share stories that may not always be easy to share. Nearly every interview I’ve done has started with these words… “If it’ll help someone…” The Bible says there is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for a friend. Baring one’s soul has got to rate a close second. So I’m glad we’re making the most of it.
Our premier edition featured the surprising story of a local business woman’s life-threatening struggle with drug addiction. The story was surprising because in the years since her miraculous delivery from drugs Angie Sills has led a completely new life.
Since publication, Angie has become something of a celebrity, with calls and letters coming in from all ages, genders and walks of life.
I passed the magazine on to a friend in another county. A few days later he e-mailed to say his wife and two teenage daughters were so impressed with Angie’s story they are planning a visit to Angie’s salon. It makes one wonder how many back pockets and pocketbooks one little magazine can visit when it’s propelled by the Divine.
In this issue read about how one call to Angie turned into much more. You’ll also find the dramatic story of a young man who thought he was “holding his own” until he was shot and left for dead on a deserted road.
Learn how to survive in these economically troubled times, read about a mother’s love, and a miraculous delivery from fire among other stories.
If one of the stories speaks particularly to you, please thank one of our advertising sponsors. Let them know you enjoy reading about local folks and how God is influencing their lives.
Until next issue, take care and God bless!
