Musician Appreciation Day Set
Andrews Chapel will host its annual Musician Appreciation Day on Sunday at 3 p.m. Elmon Pipkin Jr., Dwayne Mitchell and Cynetha McNeill will be honored.  Many guest choirs are expected to attend. For more information, call (910) 658-8505.

Feed The Community Day Saturday
Anderson Creek Christian Center will present the first Thanksgiving Feed The Community Day on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The free event is dine-in only. All are welcome. Anderson Creek CC is located at 8227 Elliott Bridge Road, Spring Lake. For more information, call (910) 497-4350. The pastors are Bishop Purdie and Elder Ida Elliott.

Women’s Day Set Sunday
Women’s Day will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Heaven Bound Church of Christ Holy Temple Inc. No. 2. The chairperson is Minister Margaret Gray. The church is located at 5398 Fairground Road, Dunn. The pastor is Stanley Williams.

Family And Friends Day Set
Family and Friends Day will be observed Sunday at 11 a.m. at Riverside United Holy Church. For more information, call Elder Larry Holmes at 890-8022. The church is located on N.C. 217, Erwin.

Community Thanksgiving Service Sunday
Lillington Methodist Church will hold a  Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday at 7 p.m. The speaker will be the Rev. J. Kenneth Smith, senior pastor of Lillington Baptist Church. The event is sponsored by Lillington UM Church, Lillington Presbyterian Church, Crossroads Church and Lillington Baptist Church.

Harvest Day Barbecue, Bazaar
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church will hold its 59th annual Harvest Day Barbecue and Bazaar on Saturday at the church, 211 Irwin Drive, Newton Grove. A choice of barbecue chicken plate or barbecue pork plate will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in St. Katherine Drexel Parish. The cost is $7 per plate. Combination plates will not be available. Plates include dessert and beverage. Patrons may eat in or take out. Tickets are available from any church member or may be purchased at the door.
An auction will be held from 7:30 p.m. until all items are sold. Featured will be many homemade crafts. Chances on a handmade quilt will be sold for $1 per chance and may be purchased during the day. The drawing for the quilt will take place during the auction. You do not have to be present to win. Proceeds from the Harvest Day event will benefit the church building fund.

Annual Choir Day At McLean Chapel
McLean Chapel FWB Church will hold its annual Choir Day Sunday. The 11 a.m. service will feature The Mass Choir, Voices of Wisdom, The Youth Choir and The Male Chorus. At 3 pm., a musical program will be held. Area choirs and groups have been invited to minister through music. For more information, call David Hough, minister of music, at (910) 822-6686. Praise, Worship Conference Set
There will be a Praise and Worship Conference tonight at 7:30 and Saturday at 6 p.m. at Holy Mission Holiness Church. Special guest on tonight will be Evangelist Evelyn McDonald Miller of Fayetteville. Pastor Brady, minister of music of The River, will be the guest on Saturday.

Angier Fellowship To Hold Bake Sale Auction
The Ladies of Angier Fellowship PFWB Church will have a bake sale auction Saturday at 6 p.m. at the church fellowship hall. The church is located on Tippet Road, off N.C. 55 in Angier. For more information, call Daphene Barnes at (919) 639-4362.

Family, Friends Day At Pleasant Grove FWB
Pleasant Grove FWB Church, 1520 Casper Road, Dunn, will hold Family and Friends Day Sunday at 11 a.m. St. Anna FWB Church of Raleigh will render the music. Elder Larry Baker, host pastor, will deliver the morning sermon. Lunch will be served immediately after the service.

Jordan Temple To Hold Thanksgiving Service
A Thanksgiving service will be held Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at Jordan Temple BCOG. Minister Penny McDougald will preach. The host pastor is Overseer C.C. McNeill.

Street Praise Outreach Ministry News
There will be a Praise, Dance and Prophet Service tonight at 7:30 at Street Praise Outreach Ministry. The speaker will be Pastor Rhonda Ray of Grazing Mountain Church. The mime will be performed by Street Praise Outreach Ministry Mime Team. A guest choir will sing.
Street Praise will also offer a Thanksgiving dinner to the community. Anyone who needs a place to go for a Thanksgiving meal, they may go to 1122 S. Clinton Ave., Dunn.

Shoeboxes For Operation Christmas Child
Newton Grove Baptist Church is collecting shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. and Sunday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The church is located at 307 Goldsboro St., Newton Grove. Call 594-1880 for more information.
Lee’s Chapel OFWB Church, located on U.S. 421 South of Dunn in the Plain View community, will collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child through Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Thanksgiving Day Gospel Explosion Set
Cutts Chapel FWB Church will hold a Thanksgiving Day Gospel Explosion on Nov. 27 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. There will be numerous groups and choirs from around the area. The host pastor is District Edler Thomas Washington Jr.
Buffet Breakfast At Calvary Baptist
Calvary Baptist Church will sponsor a country buffet breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10:30 a.m. The menu will consist of country ham, link sausage, bacon, grits, eggs, homemade biscuits, jellies, molasses, coffee and juice. Donations are accepted for the meal.
The church is located seven miles east of Dunn on N.C. 55 near the N.C. 242 intersection. Dr. Paul Johnson is the interim pastor.

Fundraiser For Mission Department Set
Sampson Chapel FWB Church will have a fundraiser for its Mission Department Saturday at 5 p.m. There will be barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, cakes and drink for sale. A musical program will begin at 6 p.m. Groups include Union Hill Mass Choir, Temple of Faith Praise Singers, United, Warren Chapel Praise Dancers and more. The host pastor is Elder Timothy Thomas. The church is located at 8709 Green Path Road, Dunn.

Gospel Concert At Johnston Chapel
There will be a gospel concert Saturday at 6 p.m. at Johnston Chapel FWB Church, 6147 Raleigh Road, Benson. Featured will be The Atkinson Family, Mass Choir, Cape Fear “A” Unity Mass Choir, Saint Anna FWB Church, and J.C. Singers. Elder Garry Harrison of Fayetteville will be the master of ceremony. Fashion Show, Gospel Sing Nov. 29
There will be a Fashion Show and Gospel Singing Extravaganza Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. at the Stewart Theater. Featured will be the Praise Team, a magic show and the Mayes Brothers. Donations are $5 for children and $10 for adults.

Thanksgiving Praise Service Set
There will be a Thanksgiving Praise Service Sunday at 6 p.m. at Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Community Thanksgiving Services
Neill’s Creek Baptist Church will have a Community Thanksgiving Service Sunday at 7 p.m. Swann Station Baptist Church will ave a Community Thanksgiving Service Sunday at 6 p.m.

Buies Creek Community Service Set
The Buies Creek Community Service will be held Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church. Featured will be Dr. Michael Simmons.

Faith & Power CC News
There will be an empowerment worship service Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Faith & Power Christian Center. The pastors are Ron and Montrina Spears.

W.B.S. To Hold Thanksgiving Service
Win Build Send Christian Center will have a Thanksgiving service on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 511 Susan Tart Road, Dunn. Call 892-8922 for more information. All are welcome to attend.

Benefit Program To Be Held Sunday

Temple Of Faith Church News
Pastor Christine Williams will speak at Temple of God in Roseboro tonight at 7:30.
Temple of Faith Praise Team will minister in song and praise at Sampson Chapel in Dunn on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Family And Friends Day At Zion Cathedral
Family and Friends Day will be held Sunday at Zion Cathedral Christian Church. Service time is 10:45 a.m. and Prophetess Amichia Jones is the speaker. She is the wife of Elder Antonio B. Jones, pastor of Zion Cathedral Christian Church, a non-denominational ministry for all races, ethnicities, nationalities located in Fayetteville. Prophetess Jones serves as the co-pastor. She is the mother of two — Antonio B. Jones and Joel M. Jones. She also leads a midday prayer at Zion Cathedral each Tuesday from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Harvest Day At Beulah MB Church
Beulah Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Harvest Day sale on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The menu will consist of barbecue and chicken pastry with all the trimmings. The price per plate will be $7 with eat-in buffet and plates available for take-out. An auction will be starting at 7 p.m.

Barbecue Plate Sale At Clement COGOP
Clement Church of God of Prophecy, 3990 Maxwell Road, Autryville,  will have a home-cooked barbecue pork sale on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church. Plates with all the trimmings will be $6.00. Barbecue will also be sold by the pound for $6. Eat in and take out orders will be available. There will also be a bake sale. Judah Fest At Mingo Hill OFWB
Mingo Hill OFWB Church will hold a Judah Fest tonight at 7:30. The speaker will be Pastor Marshall Blackmon from Durham. He is the preacher of Life Changers Church International in Durham and Deeper Life Christian Center International in Rocky Mount. There will also be appearances by local artists, praise dancers and more. Purpose of Florence, S.C., will provide the music. The host pastor is Elder Terence McCrimmon.

Thanksgiving Worship Service At Stoney Run
Stoney Run PFWB Church will have a Thanksgiving Worship Service on Sunday at 6 p.m.  The service will be a compilation of selections from the SRC Adult Choir and OCWT Youth Choir. Special solos will also be heard from Carolyn Brackman, Fran Dixon, Cleo Jackson, Charles Potter, Caleb Potter, Ranae Strickland and the SRC Worship Team. A time of worship, prayer and praise will accompany the selections.
A special emphasis and offering will be taken for the Bikers For Christ Ministry. Bikers For Christ is an organization that distributes Bibles and spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ through witnessing. Offerings will be donated to help purchase Bibles in both English and Spanish for the ministry to distribute.
The Rev. Murray King and the Stoney Run Church invites the surrounding community. Stoney Run Church is located on N.C. 55, three miles east of Dunn. For more information, call the church at 892-2816.

The Senior Choir of St. Stephens Disciple Church of Christ will celebrate the annual Old-Fashion Day at 3 p.m. The West M. Street of Erwin and Free Will Bethel of Riverside will render the music. The youth will present a skit. St. Stephens is located at 208 E. Divine St., Dunn.

Dunn Chapel FWB Church family will have a morning worship service at 8:30. Dunn Chapel is located at 607 E. Edgerton St. Elder Timothy Thomas, pastor, will bring the message.
Parker To Preach In Salemburg
Associate Minister Tyrone Parker of Revival Center Holiness Church in Linden will preach at Christian Fellowship in Salemburg on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Fifth Weekend Fellowship Services will be held at Temple of Faith Church in Fayetteville. Services will be Friday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. Associate Minister Evangelist Marilyn Leach of Revival Center will be one of the speakers. Sunday, Nov 30, at 11:15 a.m. Revival Center’s Pastor, Bishop Alexander Jones Jr. will preach.

Community Invited To Thanksgiving Service
Dr. Elvin Butts, president of Heritage Bible College, invites the public and anyone with an interest in the college to attend the annual Thanksgiving chapel service to be held in the Heritage House Chapel on campus, Tuesday, Nov. 25.
The chapel service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will feature seasonal music and recognition of National Bible Week. Students, staff and faculty will participate in the program. The Thanksgiving message will be brought by Dr. Butts and communion will be served by students in the Pastoral Theology class. Chapel attendees are invited to remain for a complimentary lunch in the college dining hall at noon.

Joy Night Service At St. James
St. James Disciples Church of Christ in Benson will celebrate Joy Night tonight at 7:30. The guest speaker will be the Rev. La’Tysha Johnson of Browns Chapel. She will be accompanied by her choir and musicians. The pastor of St. James is Elder Angelo Surles.

God’s House Of Prayer News
There will be a Joy Night Service tonight at 7:30 at God’s House of Prayer, 809 E. Broad St., Dunn. The speakers will be Eldress Pandora Covington and Elder Sylvester Faison. The God’s House of Prayer Choir will render music.
The youth service Sunday will be omitted at God’s House of Prayer and will be held at New Creation HCOD in Norlina, where the pastor is Bishop Apelles Hart Sr. The youth director, Prophetess Adlay McArthur, will be the speaker. Service time is 11 a.m.

Herndons To Speak At Solid Rock
Evangelists Randy and Joanna Herndon will speak at Solid Rock Ministries on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. Evangelist Joanna is the daughter of the late Jack Coe Sr., who had a healing ministry in the 1950s and 1960s in the United States. Triumphant, Taylors In Concert At Fellowship Baptist
Triumphant Quartet of Sevierville, Tenn., will be in concert Saturday at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church. David Sutton, Clayton Inman, Scott Inman, Eric Bennett and pianist Jeff Stice form the southern gospel group. Their current single, ‘The Old White Flag,’ is No. 16 on the national gospel charts. The Taylors will begin the night with selected releases from their new album, ‘Rivers Crossed,’ as well as some Christmas favorites. Fellowship Baptist is located at 1505 Ross Road, Lillington.

The Dennis Family In Concert
The Dennis Family will be in concert Saturday at 7 p.m. at Benson Church of God. They will also sing Sunday at 6 p.m. at Coats Church of God.
