The Keenagers of Spring Branch Baptist Church met at the Sandpiper in Clinton on May 28 with 28 members and three guests in attendance. Jimmy Jackson, president, opened the meeting and welcomed everyone.
Judy Harrison gave the devotion based on Zachariah 7:9, followed by the blessing for the meal.

Midway Area Churches (M.A.C.) held a “Community Fun Day” on May 23 at the old Midway High School. There was live gospel singing by Praise Out Loud and the guest speaker was Minister Leonard Henry, former football player of the Miami Dolphins. About 800 people from Sampson, Johnston and Harnett counties attended this event.
The vice president of M.A.C., Pastor Floyd Ray, opened the event with a prayer. Each church that was represented supplied free food, drinks, snacks, face painting and inflatables for the children. Food included barbecue, hot dogs, pork chop sandwiches and funnel cakes, along with drinks, water and snow cones. Churches that had booths were Mt. Carmel, Mt. Zion, Taylor’s Chapel, Shady Grove, Running Branch, Central Baptist, Calvary, Bethesda, Union Community, Blackman’s Grove, The Journey and Robert’s Grove.
The mission statement for M.A.C. is “We believe that by coming together, we have the ability to make a difference in our community and in the lives of our children.”
The public is encouraged to join M.A.C.
Next M.A.C. Meeting July 12
The next meeting will be held July 12 at 6 p.m. at the old Midway High School.

The Hodges Chapel Ladies Auxiliary meeting was held June 1 and co-hosted by Pauline Sorrell and Brookie West. The meeting was called to order by Rebecca Tart, president.

Women’s Missions of Antioch PFWB Church met in the church fellowship hall on June 9. After a time of fellowship, the president, Kellon Davis, called the meeting to order. Breakfast At Beulah Church
The Abandoned Youth Group of Beulah Baptist Church will serve breakfast on Saturday at the church in Benson. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to come. Vacation Bible School will be held at Beulah Baptist Church June 14-19. Classes on Sunday June 14, will be 3-5 p.m. with all other nightly classes beginning at 6:30. Refreshments will be served nightly.

Green’s Chapel To Hold Musical Benefit Program
Green’s Chapel FWB Church will have a musical benefit program for the family of Chris and Brandi Bell. The Bell family — consisting of mother, father and six children — lost their home in a fire. New Schedule For Coats Baptist
Sunday, Coats Baptist Church will begin a “New Day For Sunday School,” followed by a new model for worship. Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m. with age-graded classes for children and youth and a variety of classes for adults, followed by a fellowship time from 10 to 10:25. Worship will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. using a “blended” style of worship that will utilize the Adult Choir, the Vessels of Praise and, on given Sundays, there will be soloists, trios, quartets, praise band, children and youth choirs presenting the special music. The congregation will also sing the hymns of the faith. There will also be times when testimonies or drama will be offered.
Men’s Day At Hickory Grove Disciple COC

Crestview To Hold Plate Sale
Crestview Baptist Church will hold its annual plate sale Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be barbecue chicken with green beans, boiled potatoes, rolls and cake; or chicken pastry with green beans, yams, rolls and cake; or chicken pastry cups. Divine Street UM News
A new summer service has been added to Sundays at Divine Street United Methodist Church in Dunn starting June 14 through Aug. 23 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. It will be casual-dress worship in addition to the traditional service at 11 a.m.
The service on June 14 will be the only service followed by a pancake breakfast held on the church grounds under the shelter. It is suggested that people bring a lawn chair and comfortable clothes. The theme of the new summer service is “Seize The Breeze.” The initial service on June 14 will introduce special guest vocalist/guitarist, David Hodges of Erwin, who will be part of the “Summer Breeze” service each Sunday throughout the summer.
A summer youth event called “Crocodile Dock” will be hosted by Divine Street UM from June 15-19. Children can participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, enjoy treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies and create Bible Point crafts.
“Crocodile Dock” is for children from kindergarten through fifth grade age levels and will run from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Register online at www.divinestreet.org.

Area women and their guests are invited to the Dunn Christian Women’s Connection brunch on Tuesday, June 9, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Triangle South Enterprise Center, 600 S. Magnolia Ave., Dunn. The cost is $11.
The theme for the event is “Growing in Strength.” Ellen Calos of Charlotte will speak on “By the Power Received Gained Peace.” Darrin Hughes of Dunn will sing a solo. Master Gardener Pat Avery of Erwin will present the feature.

Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Benson had homecoming on May 17. The speaker was former pastor, the Rev. Gary McCollough. He was the pastor at Pleasant Hill from 1979-1983. His wife, Lunette, accompanied him. The congregation enjoyed a time of Christian fellowship, lunch and a gospel sing after the morning service. Before lunch, they took a special time to honor all those who had died over the past year, lighting a memory candle for each of them.
Daniels To Preach Initial Sermon
Diondra Daniels, right, will preach her initial sermon Sunday at the Coats Community Building. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the service begins at 4. The service is hosted by Life in the Spirit Prophetic Ministries. Dr. Sheila Cox is the founder.
Gospel Sing, Ice Cream Social At Mt. Elam
The youth of Mt. Elam Church will hold an old-fashion gospel sing and homemade ice cream social Sunday at 6 p.m. at the church. Donations will be accepted to help fund the youth missions trip.
