The Book of Acts Church of God In Christ Jesus Church held its first free Health Fair on Dec. 13. The agenda for the fair was to provide the community of Angier a much-needed service free to all. Services included: diagnostic and assessments and free legal advice. Pictured above, first lady Sonya Ragland, Dr. Raynor and Pastor Joseph Ragland. The children and teachers of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church in Angier presented a Christmas play last Sunday night. The play was titled ‘Angier Town Hall Presents The PGCB Children in The Christmas County Spelling Bee.’ The stage was transformed into the Angier Town Hall as the children put on the spelling bee, spelling all the names of God. The spelling bee contestants were backed up by the children’s choir singing the joys of Christmas and telling the Christmas story. The MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) chapter at Spring Hill Church hosted a Christmas ‘Breakfast with Santa’ Dec. 6. Those who participated in the annual breakfast festivity included on the front row, Blake Ray, Kendall Holder, Carrianne Holder, Kaylee Holder, Rebecca O’Brien, Chase Holder, Tré Stone and Delane O’Brien. A live Nativity will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church in Broadway on Saturday at 6, 6:45 and 7:30 p.m. and a children’s Christmas program will be Sunday at 6 p.m.
Angier Baptist will present a children’s Christmas musical Sunday at 7 p.m. Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers will present a cantata Sunday at 10:50 a.m. and a candlelight service at 7 p.m.
Crestview Baptist Church will hold a children’s Christmas program Sunday at 6 p.m. “Festival of Carols” will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. and a Moravian Lovefeast at 6:30 p.m. at Dunn First Baptist Church.
A Christmas cantata will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Gourd Springs Baptist Church. Kingdom Builders Church will hold a Christmas program Sunday at 4 p.m.
A Christmas cantata will be held Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m. and a Christmas play at 6 p.m. at Piney Grove Chapel in Angier.
South Erwin Baptist will hold a children’s Christmas cantata Sunday. Candlelight services will be held at Angier Baptist on Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. and Dec. 24 at Buies Creek at 7 p.m.
Chalybeate Springs Baptist will hold a Christmas Eve service on Dec. 24 at 8 p.m.
Christmas communion will be Dec. 24 at 10 p.m. at Coats Baptist Church and a candlelight communion will be 7 p.m. Dec. 24 at Erwin First Baptist Church.
A Christmas Eve service will be held Dec. 24 at 8 p.m. at Lillington Baptist Church. Memorial Baptist in Buies Creek will hold a candlelight communion on Dec. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
A Moravian Lovefeast will be Dec. 24 at 9 p.m. at Neill’s Creek Baptist.
Overhills Community will hold a candlelight service Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. and Westfield Baptist Church in Dunn will hold a Christmas Eve service Dec. 24.

MOUNT OLIVE — Members representing Free Will Baptist churches in Sampson, Harnett and Cumberland Counties generated $52,958.33 in gifts to Mount Olive College, the denomination’s private, Christian liberal arts institution.
