Preaching From The Rooftop

Harvest Time Church of God recently hosted SonRock Kids Camp Vacation Bible School for the children of the church and community. Pastor Dale Wallace issued a challenge on the first night of VBS. The challenge was that if the children raised a certain amount of money in the offerings during VBS, he would preach a message from the roof of the church on commencement night. The children came through and Pastor Wallace honored his word. He is pictured preaching from the roof of the church.

Coats Church Of God Announces Vacation Bible School

The community is invited to bring all local children ages 3 to 12 to Coats Church of God’s Vacation Bible School. This festivities will start on Aug. 6 at 6:30 p.m., continuing on Aug. 7 at 6:30, and concluding on Aug. 8 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday will include lunch. VBS At Ebenezer Presbyterian
Ebenezer Presbyterian Church will hold Vacation Bible School for children of all ages. “Camp E.D.G.E.: Experience and Discover God Everywhere” VBS is an adventure camp taking children on Bible treks to experience and discover God everywhere, every day. Each Bible trek is supported with songs, crafts, games and science activities.
The fun begins tonight from 6 to 8:30 with registration, a pizza party, games, music and other activities. Saturday, the activities continue from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m VBS concludes with a covered-dish dinner after the worship service at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The Abandon Youth Group of Beulah Baptist Church in Benson, located off N.C. 242, will have a barbecue chicken plate fundraiser Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. Plates will be $7 each with all proceeds being used to fund trip so the group can volunteer for Operation Christmas Child. Eat in or take out will be available. Plates will be served with boiled potatoes, green beans, bread and cake.

Women’s Fellowship Conference Set
Warren Chapel FWB Church will hold its annual Women’s Fellowship Conference Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The speaker will be Evangelist Ann Wilson from Wake Forest. She attends Heritage Bible College in Dunn and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and a minor in leadership. Southern gospel music singer Wade Spencer from Perrysville, Ohio, will be in concert at Friendship Baptist Church on Sunday at 7 p.m. He is the oldest son of the original musical family, The Spencers, and travels throughout the eastern and mid-western states. He also makes trips to foreign countries for missions and to orphanages and prisons.

Pastoral Anniversary Celebration Under Way
Holy Mission is celebrating Apostle Rosa DeGraffenried’s eighth pastoral anniversary. Tonight at 7:30, Apostle B. Aycock from New Church of Christ in Faison will speak. Wade Spencer In Concert July 19
Southern gospel music singer Wade Spencer from Perrysville, Ohio, will be in concert at Friendship Baptist Church on July 19 at 7 p.m. He is the oldest son of the original musical family The Spencers and travels throughout the eastern and mid-western states. He also makes trips to foreign countries for missions and to orphanages and prisons.
Friendship Church is located one-half mile south of McGee’s Crossroads, just off N.C. 50, on Greenleaf Road. A free-will offering will be received.
